Eric’s award-winning photography has appeared in magazines, books, calendars, newspapers, tourism websites, and promotional travel publications nationally and overseas. He is the Society of American Travel Writers’ 2011 Travel Photographer of the Year.
Eric shot his first rolls of film in 1975 while wandering the ancient hill towns and greening countryside of springtime Tuscany. Awakening to the possibilities of combining photography and travel, he began documenting people, culture, nature, and landscapes around the world.
Today Eric is attracted to the juxtaposition of old and new, of East and West, and to the whimsical, sometimes surreal ways that cultures intersect. As destinations worldwide are affected by increased tourism, short-sighted development, and an exploding global population, he is increasingly drawn toward documenting fragile landscapes, indigenous peoples, and wildlife that are fading and vanishing from the earth. |
